    This is why I am a firm believer in using depth maps for this kind of thing. It really sells it, and it doesn’t take too long. Glad there are other like minded types out there.

    It’s a great effect, but, to really sell it you need to create a depth map and then choose your red channel with the source image selected and displace the depth map in there to create a real sense of depth. This is cool for a quickie tho.

    thanks you made it dead simple. So do you align the tower at the end so this part of the photo drops back ? if my image was in reverse ie Closest part or foreground of image on the left can i do exactly the same as you or would need to swap the cyan layer ???????

    Anaglyph images shouldn’t be falsely produced in my opinion. It’s so easy just to create them taking two different images side by side that changing the perspective is kinda redundant. And as for image choice, it does mater because you need different layers for the 3D affect to look good. It needs something to ‘pop out’ from. Using the same method of blending you can get better results with two images, so I’d advise that.
